Spandees: Crazy Spandex Shorts

Ooh Baby, Baby, It's a Wild World
In search of some colorful compression shorts to re-ignite my spring running and biking season, I gleefully stumbled upon Spandees.

The Burlington, Mass., company was started by Amanda Green, mother of two athletic kids in need of more funKY exercise clothing!

Along with many prints from which to choose, she also has three lengths available:
  • Volleyball (2.5 inch inseam) for $19.95
  • Compression shorts (6' inseam) for $19.95
  • Capri length (26" from the waistband) for $26.95.
I can't wait to run wild in my Spandees.

Dan, I got the very Puritan 6" length. It'll be hot enough out there this summer. chortle chortle. I leave the 2.5" shorties for Mich.

See, now as much as I was absolutely GIDDY when I saw these, I would prefer an 8" inseam. 6" doesn't quite cut it for me. I feel they would still ride up. So, I am even more puritanical than you!!! :) Good find, though!

Julie, I will give them test run & hopefully they won't ride up...just ride far...along the trail. Of course, sweat can act as thigh glue so that will be interesting data. FYI,I like the longer inseam, too. If they don't ride perhaps you can get some as part of a "team" compression short.
Dan, hey have them in orange and black tiger stripe....

I just got the polka dot party ones! I finally hit double digits in my training for the VT half. These look fun - thanks for the tip.
