I dedicated this run to the color yellow. Here's a yellow triptych from my morning run (hydrant, sign post and school bus). I opted NOT to capture any yellow snow but did see some markings on a nearby snow bank. (You'll have to imagine it!)

Black Ice & Banana Peel
Today's weather was unseasonably warm and nearly reached 60 degrees by mid-day. What a spring tease. Ensuring I got a run in before my day slipped by, I ran before 7 a.m. when the roads were still a bit slick in spots with black ice. As I moved along the road, I came across this forlorn & strewn banana peel in my midst. I found this very silly and felt compelled to take a photo. First I had to beware of black ice and then banana peels?!

Very nice pictures and blog!
Hey, don't your Yaktraxs work on banana peels?
Very Funny, D! I wasn't wearing them that morning but can you imagine the shmmootz that would mung up the coils? eeeyyyw. Are you ready for a wog in the Fells?
Pixie, that would have very squishy mess. Kevin did a fells run last weekend. He said it was pretty good running. I imagine with the warm weather we've been having it would be a mud fest now. I can't wait to get back on dirt. This snowshoe running is for Eskimos and crazy people!
Dan, I MIGHT run the Horse Hill 7K snow shoe race this weekend, unless I am talked out of it....(I"m waiting to be convinced....). I've never done a SS race. Actually I haven't SS yet this winter. HA! So this is a perfect combination for a swift dose of reality come Horsey Hill # 1, Pony Hill #2, etc. As I already embrace the power walk, I think I could be a great caboose.
Em, I'm doing Horse Hill and so are a lot of the Lynn Woods folks. Please join us! If you run can you register as Dungeon Rock Racing? We can use your points.
Check out the link below. It's preview of the race course. I hope the snow holds up there.

Pixie,
SS running is a lot of fun and really tests you ability to stress your system on the up hills and then recover on the down hill portion of a race so you can stress yourself again. Everyone is very supportive of each other because no matter how fast or slow you are everyone is suffering. It's fun!!! Please do HH 7K you'll be hooked just like everyone who tries it.
Plus it gives you great looking legs! Right Scotty?
Dan's correct. However I happy to report that I have not seen any pictures from Frosty's yet of Dan, Steve or myself. Thank goodness!!!
